Licorice Mint Hyssop (Agastache rupestris)

$6.00

Each seed packet contains 100 seeds.

This is one of the few plant species not native to the PNW that I sell. It has a huge wildlife benefit, blooms very late into the fall, and is super tough.

Licorice Mint Hyssop, also known as Sunset Agastashe, is a extremely drought tolerant late blooming wildflower native to Arizona and New Mexico and Northern Chihuahua in Mexico. This lovely wildflower smells of the most unbelievably delicious minty licorice anytime the hot summer sun heats up it's leaves or it's brushed up against (walking by). In addition to the lovely aroma, Licorice Mint Hyssop makes an excellent addition to body products such as salves or sugar scrubs. It also makes a lovely herbal tea!

Hummingbirds adore this plant! It wouldn't be a stretch to say Hummingbirds are obsessed with this plant! It's also used by native bees, butterflies, and moths - including hummingbird moths!

Licorice Mint Hyssop prefers full sun and soil with sharp drainage, though they'll appreciate irrigation until they're well established. It can grow 2-3 feet tall and as wide when happy, and make an excellent addition to a rock garden, hellstrip, or other xeriscape endeavors!

Each seed packet contains 100 seeds and germination instructions are included.
